Joelle Tangen is a textile artist with a B.S. in Textiles, Merchandising, and Fashion Design from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Learning about the unsustainable nature of the fashion industry in school left a profound impact on her work. Every garment is made with sustainability in mind, whether that be through upcycled and secondhand textiles, incorporating zero-waste design, or naturally sourced materials. She regularly works with local natural dye artist Lesley Darling by sewing naturally-dyed and upcycled goods.
